Lincoln, NE Snowstorm - March 19-21, 2006

Trees are covered with fresh sticky snow.

Left: It's spring on the calendar. Right: Plenty of free AC today.

Left: Somebody will need a considerable amount of time to sweep this car off. Right: Heading back to Grand Forks taking the long way (I-80) as I thought this would be a safer option than U.S. 77. This was one of dozens of cars either wrecked or in the ditch. I can only assume there were considerably more car casualties to the west where twice as much snow fell.

It was a "mammoth" storm for Lincoln. Most of the city ended up with over a foot of the white stiff. The northwest side approached a foot and a half. (30-45 cm for your metric folks out there).
